A Japanese cultural festival that celebrates the ancient tradition of making mochi (pounded rice cakes) to bring good luck and prosperity in the New Year. Presented in the traditional manner, this is a popular, family-friendly event.

Chilly Hilly Bicycle Classic

Chilly Hilly Bicycle Classic Logo

The bicycling season kicks off each year in late February when thousands of cyclists converge on Bainbridge Island for a 33-mile journey! Organized by the Cascade Bicycle Club.

Island Days Street Dance & BBQ

A favorite Bainbridge Island tradition brings together families, food, live music, dancing, sidewalk chalk and tons of fun on the night before the Grand Old Fourth festivities.  Teens love it!

 

 

 

 


Grand Old Fourth

Bainbridge Island’s biggest party, which features the “Best Small Town Parade in America.” The fun includes a pancake breakfast, all-day street fair, foot races, classic car show, music, food and entertainment.

A much-loved community event, Winslow Way is closed to traffic and local businesses hand out treats to delighted kids. And an opportunity for creative adults to dress up in clever costumes.
