Winter Lodging Promotion and Island Holiday Events!

Come Shop, Play and Stay!

View our lodging special here

As the crisp cool air of Autumn makes way for the bite of Winter and the holiday season, Bainbridge Island has some fun activities in store for everyone, from the littlest lads to the young at heart and everyone in between.  Putting candy and wilting jack-o-lanterns aside means making room for cornucopia, wreaths, and candles.  It also means it’s time to shop for others during the holiday season.  Just in time for the season, participating merchants on Bainbridge Island are offering a drawing for five $500 shopping sprees as well as a wonderful child’s gift.  Just fill out an entry form at any one of the participating merchant locations by December 19 and you could be one of the lucky winners! Here is a link to the program. Continue reading

Holiday Artisan Shopping Guide 2018

Shop Hand Crafted Bainbridge for the Holidays!  Gather a carload and shop all over the island…

Unique gifts thoughtfully selected telegraph the value of personal connections, and the holidays are a common time to reaffirm sentiments of love, compassion and care. Downtown is a bustling festive hub of activity; merchants dress up their displays with sparkle and pizazz, Santa comes to town, and the giant star on top of downtown’s tallest tree shines brightly for the winter solstice. Islanders take pride in shopping locally, and greet one other on the streets as they make the rounds of the local businesses. Continue reading

Plan Now for Wine on the Rock on Bainbridge Island

Wine on the Rock at Bainbridge Island WineriesThere are many great reasons to visit Bainbridge Island this fall. It’s an easy day-trip from downtown Seattle, the fall colors in our many parks and gardens are beautiful right now, and there are far fewer crowds competing for space in our charming island boutiques and restaurants. If you really need another reason, then let it be wine. With 7 wineries calling Bainbridge Island home, there’s no shortage of great wine flowing around the island. This fall, Bainbridge Island will once again be celebrating locally produced wines during their seasonal Wine on the Rock Weekend. These two great days of wine tasting call for an overnight stay on the Island, and luckily we have plenty of places for you to choose from. Browse through our many delightful lodging properties on Bainbridge Island, and start making those plans to visit us for Wine on the Rock in November, 2018. Continue reading

2018 Oktoberfest on Bainbridge Island

Oktoberfest 2018 Bainbridge Island, WA Beer GardenOktoberfest is a tradition that started over 200 years ago when Crown Prince Ludwig, later to become King Ludwig I, was married to Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen on 12th October 1810. Everyone in Munich was invited to attend the festivities held on the fields in front of the city gates to celebrate the happy royal event. Since then, this local German party has grown to a worldwide festival and even here on Bainbridge Island, Oktoberfest is given a place in Fall Festivities. Continue reading
