Bainbridge in Bloom Garden Tour’s 25th Anniversary

Bainbridge-in-Bloom-Garden-TourThis year marks a special milestone for the popular Bainbridge in Bloom Garden Tour – it’s the event’s 25th anniversary! Since its humble beginnings in 1988, the Pacific Northwest garden event has delighted thousands of flower and garden enthusiasts with tours of Bainbridge Island’s best private gardens.

Produced by the Bainbridge Island Arts & Humanities Council, the Bainbridge in Bloom Garden Tour is one of the Island’s most eagerly anticipated annual events.

This year, visitors to the Bainbridge in Bloom Garden Tour can see five gorgeous gardens in five distinct Bainbridge Island neighborhoods. In addition to the flowers, guests can enjoy locally-sourced food, arts and crafts and live music at the Garden Tour’s hub, the Filipino-American Hall (7566 NE High School Road).

The Bainbridge in Bloom Garden Tour takes place during the weekend over two days – Friday, July 12th and Saturday, July 13th. Friday is “Preview Day.” It’s a quieter opportunity to take a self-paced tour of the gardens. Visitors should note that Preview Day tickets grant access to Saturday viewings, in case you want more time amongst the blooms.

SpringRidge Gardens on Bainbridge IslandTour organizers are also offering the “Preview Day Package,” which includes a chauffeur-guided tour of the gardens alongside a certified horticulturist! That’s not all. Package purchasers are treated to a “Pastorale Luncheon” with live piano music at a lovely sixth garden. On Saturday night, the Evening in Bloom gala benefit art auction will take place at the Manor House at Pleasant Beach.

With such a full itinerary, a growing number of visitors to the Bainbridge in Bloom Garden Tour are choosing to spend the night! Bainbridge Island is home to over two-dozen luxury vacation rentals and is just a 35-minute ferry ride from downtown Seattle.

Finally, beyond the beautiful gardens, the Bainbridge in Bloom Garden Tour is the Bainbridge Island Arts & Humanities Council’s most important annual fundraiser. As you enjoy the flowers, you’ll be supporting an organization that works to enhance life in a wonderful Island community!

The Bainbridge Island Lodging Association (BILA) is comprised of 25 vacation rentals, guest houses, bed and breakfasts (B&B), boutique hotels, inns and cottages on Bainbridge Island, in Washington State. BILA is dedicated to bringing you quality accommodation on our beautiful island in the Pacific Northwest.
