Join the library knitting and needlework group – bring your work in progress. The group looks at new knitting books and discusses what everyone has been reading, too. Free. Meets the second Monday of each month. Admission: Free

Carpooling with Supreme Court Justices
10:30 am @ Filipino American Hall (7566 NE High School Road)
All women are invited to attend SWERV to hear from Bainbridge Island residents and Associate Justices of the Washington State Supreme Court Charles Wiggins and Sheryl Gordon McCloud explain how cases are discussed and decided among the Supreme Court justices. Both justices had distinguished careers as appellate lawyers prior to their election to the court. Justice Gordon McCloud’s election in 2012 made the court majority female. Admission: Free

This week Heather will teach you how to make her easy and versatile tomato soup with homemade croutons and a salad of baby kale with roasted garlic dressing. For dessert, try a Nutella Hot Chocolate. Admission: $25

Bainbridge Chorale’s newest choral ensemble is delighted to brighten your holiday season with a variety of seasonal songs. Under the direction of Laura Milleson, this debut concert will showcase the mission of Olympic Girls’ Choir to help girls and young women develop healthy vocal skills and choral musicianship. Admission: Free

Friday, December 12

A Bloedel Reserve tradition! Included in admission to the Reserve, all ages enjoy the wonder of the Holiday Village at Bloedel Reserve. Intricately designed hand-made buildings and whimsical trains create holiday memories for years to come. With the Visitor’s Center decked to the nines, and cider simmering, it becomes an experience for the senses. Runs today through January 5, 2015. Admission: $5-15

The Bainbridge Chorale, conducted by Michael Austin Miller, sings music of the season. This holiday concert brings an eclectic selection of works to get you in the holiday mood, starting with the featured piece, Hodie! by the well-known choral composer, Z. Randall Stroope, accompanied by organ, percussion and brass ensemble. The Chorale is delighted to be joined in the third movement of this piece by the 18-voice Olympic Girls’ Choir in their first performance with the Chorale. Admission: $23 adults; discounts for seniors, youth, military and teachers;
