Meet artist Jenny Andersen amidst her artwork in the Offerings Exhibit in the Feferman Gallery. This informal setting will allow visitors a personal window into the artist’s thinking and process. Admission: Free thanks to BIMA’s sponsors and members.

This summer, how would you and your family like to experience the world…without leaving home? Why not host an English-speaking, 14-year-old exchange student from Okinawa, Japan? There is still a need for just a few more volunteer host families. If interested, meet the many families on Bainbridge Island who already will be hosting the 15 kids for four weeks, from July 25 to August 22. Arrangements can be made for hosting only part of the four weeks, and some compensation to cover costs is available. The students will attend English classes and excursions every weekday. You and your kids can join the fun activities or just enjoy their company evenings and weekends. For more info: (206) 853-3800. Admission: Free

Join your neighbors on Ravine Lane on the plaza between the two museums for hands-on art activities, artist demonstrations, and entertainment! Demonstrations by artists Don Tiller, Holly Hudson, & Austin Ohm; 10am: Performance by Bainbridge Performing Arts Theatre School Summer Camp; 11am-1pm: Music by Ranger & the ‘Re-Arrangers;’ 1-2pm: Performance by Bainbridge Island Storymakers Studio in the Auditorium; 2-4pm: Music by BBC Jazz Trio,Family friendly menu items at Bainbridge Bakers & the BIMA Bistro. Cruising Around Bainbridge Island in the Virginia VCruise the Virginia V Around Bainbridge Island
3:00 – 6:00 pm @ Pier (215 Ericksen Avenue)
Enjoy a three hour cruise around Bainbridge Island on the historic steamship, Virginia V. Tickets for the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum annual event include a gourmet boxed lunch, historical narration, a no-host bar and an opportunity to explore the last of the “Mosquito Fleet” ships which has been beautifully restored. Admission: $$100 for museum members, $125 for non-members
