STEAM Ahead: Game Time with Joy Best

Come train your brain. Join math teacher Joy Best to learn a variety of super fun games that might accidently make you a math genius. For kids age 6 to 10. Space is limited. Admission: Free

7:00 – 9:30 pm @ Bainbridge Performing Arts (200 Madison Avenue North)
Bainbridge Dance Center is proud to announce their 33rd Annual Student Performances. Dancers ages 4-18 will perform in ballet, modern, jazz and tap techniques. In addition, the Advanced Ballet Repertory dancers will perform “The Sleeping Beauty Suite,” a 40-minute version of one of the most well loved ballets, which has been performed for over 100 years. Admission: $17 ($13 for youth, students, military, teachers and seniors)

This month, the book group discusses, “The Lotus Eater” by Tatjana Soli. The novel follows an American female combat photographer in the Vietnam War as she captures the wrenching chaos and finds herself torn between the love of two men. Admission: Free

Bloedel Reserve is offering nature-inspired workshops for children that are educational, creative and fun. Using the Reserve’s grounds as inspiration, children will create projects from summer’s bounty of materials. Students will leave with a deeper appreciation of nature’s beauty and the art that occurs in nature. Cathy Tyler, the Reserve’s florist, will teach children how to prepare clippings as well as the art of flower arranging. Participants will create their own arrangement to bring home. All materials will be provided, but bring interesting cuttings from your garden, if desired.. Admission: $27 members ($32 non-members)

Both cash and certain credit cards are accepted when a valid drivers license is shown for ID. Last year this revered collaboration between 100+ Rotarians, 1100+ volunteers, and 5000+ customers raised over $445,000 to benefit local and international charitable projects! Admission: Inquire

Embrace the start of summer with a docent-led tour exploring IslandWood’s 255-acre campus! You will tour our sustainably designed buildings found on our main campus, discover the trails, cross the suspension bridge and more. Bring family and friends (13 years & older). Admission: Free
