Monday, March 24

Bainbridge Island BrewingTrivia Night at the Taproom
7:00 – 9:00 pm @ Bainbridge Island Brewing (9415 Coppertop Loop)
Monday is Trivia Night at the brewery, presented by Trivia Time Live’s DJ. From 7 to 9pm, teams compete for prizes and the pennant during four rounds of interesting questions.  Come and play by yourself or join a team.  Relax, have a few beers and snacks, and join in the weekly fun! Come early for seating. Admission: Free

Big Night is the story of two Italian brothers who immigrated to America with the dream of running an authentic Italian restaurant. They’re struggling, while the Americanized Italian restaurant across the street thrives. The brothers gamble on one last banquet and very special guest to try to save their business. Stars Stanley Tucci & Tony Shalhoub. 107-minutes, Rated R. The film will be followed by a hosted discussion. Admission: $10 adults; $6 students

Tennessee trio The Howlin’ Brothers offer a distinctly bluegrass take on the blues, adding upright bass, fiddle and banjo to covers of greats such as Muddy Waters as well as pumping out original foot stompers. They are content to not worry about the current contemporary music scene and just build their own. A Nashville-based band that likes to keep one foot in tradition — and use the other to kick it right out the door. Admission: $12 (21 and over)

Learn the basics and variations of accordion bookbinding in this one day workshop. Students will become familiar with paper selection, folding techniques and applications of this versatile form, ranging from single sheet accordion books in the morning to an individual project in the afternoon. Supplies are included in the workshop fee, and students will leave with several books. No prior experience necessary! Admission: $125 (materials included)

Welcome author K. D. Kragen as he introduces the third installment of his Killware Chronicles, Killware III: The Accidental Prisoner. Killware is the story of the early days of the online community, where human intelligence is more than it’s cracked up to be, PESD (post-virtual epistemic stress disorder) causes reality-disconnectedness and headaches, and the Bill of Rights takes on the brave-new-virtual-world of cyberspace. In Killware III,the tension between life-extensionism and mortality is played out in many ways way: assisted dying, cryogenics, transhumanism.
