Friday, August 21

Heyday Farm is a four-bedroom farmhouse and farm kitchen on Bainbridge IslandGuided Tasting and Farm Tour at Heyday Farm!
11:00 am – 12:00 pm @ Farmhouse and Kitchen on Old Mill Road (4370 Old Mill Road NE)
Taste Heyday’s cheeses and other farm products, tour the grounds and learn about Heyday Farm in this guided tour. See gardens, greenhouses, pasture and forest. Learn about the farm’s history and how the creamery operates complete with a view of the lovely dutch belted dairy cows at home in barn and pasture. Heyday reserves the right to cancel the tour and will provide a full refund if they do not have a minimum number of people signed up. Admission: $22 plus tax

Featuring farm-fresh produce, local arts and crafts, flowers, seafood, pastry, bread, plants, fine art, live music, and fun friendly folk, the Bainbridge Island Farmers’ Market is where our community grows. This week, check out the market’s huge haul of colorful and delicious, farm-fresh beets! Admission: Free

Welcome Kae Hammond when she talks about her book Pathways: A Guidebook for Dementia & Alzheimer’s Family Caregivers. Pathways seeks to facilitate an understanding of these diseases. With life changing know-how, caregivers can learn to provide appropriate and loving care while sustaining a healthy quality of life, saving time, money, and energy. Kae Hammond founded Dementia Help Center in California in 2009, having learned firsthand the trials and tribulations of family caregiving. She was certified by the National Alzheimer’s Association as a family caregiver support group facilitator in 2010 and has served since 2011 as the Alzheimer’s Association’s Ambassador to congressional and state representatives. Admission: Free

Join the KiDiMu luau to make friends and memories that will last all four seasons. Design your own festive attire from flip-flops to leis and a grass skirt. Have fun and stay fit with balloon games, limbo or three-legged races. Get in touch with your creative side, as you try seashell painting or make your own ukulele. Your summer finale will be a blast with this active camp adventure! Activities begin on August 24th and run through the 27th. Admission: $135 for members and $160 for non-members

Thursday is Trivia Night at the brewery, presented by Trivia Time Live’s DJ. From 7:00 to 9:00 pm, teams compete for prizes and the pennant during four rounds of interesting questions.  Come and play by yourself or join a team.  Relax, have a few beers and snacks, and join in the weekly fun!
