“Open Mic Science” invites the community to an evening at The Treehouse Café on Bainbridge Island to explore ideas in all aspects of science and technology in an informal, social setting. Enjoy pizza and beer, and stay abreast of current knowledge. This month: Societal Risks from the Next Big Megathrust Earthquake in Washington will be presented by Dr. Paul Johnson for the School of Oceanography at the University of Washington. Admission: Free

Have some soup with your bread! Learn to make a variety of satisfying hearth breads and the seasonal soups to go with them. This class will demonstrate the principles of bread making.
