Social hour begins at 6:00 p.m., Dinner and meeting begin at 7:00 p.m. Don’t miss this famous potluck! Bring your family, bring your friends! Bring your favorite dish to share. Bring your own serving spoon, plates and utensils. Beverages will be provided. Please join BILT as they honor our Phyllis Young Award Winner: Sheri Marzolf, Conservation Easement Land Owner of Rustica Island Farm and Volunteer of the Year: Deb Fenwick. BILT will celebrate their 2014 accomplishments and look ahead to plans for 2015. Admission: Free

“Open Mic Science” invites the community to explore ideas in all aspects of science and technology in an informal, social setting. Enjoy pizza and beer, and stay abreast of current knowledge. Open Mic Science, A Bainbridge Science Café, is based on the principles of Cafe Scientifique and is committed to the public understanding of science. This month, Dr. Karl Shearer, from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, and Bainbridge Island, will give a presentation titled “The contributions of aquaculture to the global food supply.” Admission: Free

Starring Burt Lancaster and Tony Curtis and directed by Alexander Mackendrick. Powerful but unethical Broadway columnist J.J. Hunsecker coerces unscrupulous press agent Sidney Falco into breaking up his sister’s romance with a jazz musician. After each screening, audience members are invited participate in an open exchange of ideas through moderated discussions which serve to anchor the film in the art and craft of our region and our time. Admission: $10 adults; students free with pre-registration.

Trained and certified Enrollment Specialists from Peninsula Community Health Services (PCHS) will be available to answer your questions about the health care exchange, identify eligibility for reduced premiums and walk you through the enrollment process. Drop-in. No appointment necessary. Admission: Free
