Curious KiDiMu explorers are invited for STEM-themed activities, featuring polar bear experiments. Through hands-on on fun, children will investigate, how polar bears manage to stay warm in icy water. STEM stands for “Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.”
This program is a part of KiDiMu’s weekly STREAM (science, technology, reading, engineering, arts and math) series promoting skills necessary for academic success. On Fridays, visitors explore scientific concepts through guided discovery. Admission: Free with admission or membership

5:30 pm cocktails; 6:30 pm Dinner with live entertainment @ Wing Point Golf & Country Club (Address)
Support the performing arts at the Island’s grandest gala. Hosted this year at the Wing Point Golf and Country Club, cocktails begin at 5:30 pm with dinner and live entertainment getting underway at 6:30 pm. Also on the docket is an announcement of the 2015-16 season and an auction at 8 pm. Admission: $125 per ticket

Create 3D assemblages using colored pencils, paper, and foam board. This two-part class covers image transfer, assembly, layering, and framing your creation. Drawing directly from the human figure is a wonderful way to hone your technical skills while exploring variations in lighting, poses, and settings.  Join us for GO Figure!, a non-instructed series of 6 sessions coordinated and supervised by artist Tracy Lang. Admission: $95 per 6-session series; $20 per session, space-permitting

Starring Peggy Cummins, John Dall, Berry Kroeger and Russ Tamblyn and directed by Joseph H. Lewis. A well-meaning crack shot husband is pressured by his beautiful but dangerously rebellious sharp shooter wife to go on an interstate robbery spree, where he finds out just how depraved and deadly she really is. After each screening, audience members are invited participate in an open exchange of ideas through moderated discussions which serve to anchor the film in the art and craft of our region and our time. Admission: $10 adults; students free with pre-registration.

9:00 – 11:00 am @ Wildlife Corridor (Between Meig’s Park and the Grand Forest East)
Join BILT for their inaugural First Wednesday Work Parties on the Land Trust’s own Wildlife Corridor! They’ll be working on removing invasive plants such as English ivy, English holly, and other bad guys from this beautiful property situated between Meig’s Park and the Grand Forest East. Bring a water bottle, work gloves, and extra tools if you can. Light refreshments and good company will be provided! Detailed driving and parking directions will be provided upon RSVP.
