Monday, July 8

Bainbridge Island Museum of Art Inaugural Exhibitions
10:00 am – 6:00 pm @ Bainbridge Island Museum of Art (550 Winslow Way E.)
After BIMA’s exciting grand opening earlier this spring, the new Bainbridge Island Museum of Art is continuing its Inaugural Exhibitions this summer, featuring the works of eight fantastic artists. Visit the museum for free to enjoy this exhibition that will run through September 22! Admission: Free

Tuesday, July 9

Kitsap Regional Library Presents Magician Jeff Evans!
10:30 am @ Bainbridge Island Public Library’s Commodore Commons (1270 Madison Ave. N.)
Magician Jeff Evans unearths secrets of the deep in his all-new subterranean summer reading spectacular. The surprises are non-stop whether Jeff is mining for precious metals, discovering aquifers of drinking water, or sharing amazing facts about the world’s deepest super cave. Science stunts, creepy crawlies, and amazing magic are buried throughout the show. Admission: Free

Wednesday, July 10

“Friends of Facebook” Networking Meet-up
11:30 am – 12:30 pm @ Office Xpats at the Pavilion (403 Madison Ave. N.)
“Friends of Facebook” is a fun, free, “come-when-you-can” networking group that meets on Bainbridge Island. This is an opportunity to meet people in our community and support each other in building our businesses and fulfilling our goals. Admission: Free

Thursday, July 11

Ferry Tales Book Group
3:50 – 5:10 pm @ Bainbridge Island Library (1270 Madison Ave. N.)
Library staff share their love of reading, listening and viewing with commuters. Join them for the monthly book group on the ferry! Discuss your favorite book on the 3:50 ferry (Bainbridge Island to Seattle sailing) and share the monthly title on the 4:40 (Seattle to Bainbridge Island sailing). Friday, July 12

Bainbridge in Bloom
10:00 am – 5:00 pm @ Filipino American Community Center (7566 NE High School Road)
This year marks the 25th anniversary of one of Bainbridge Island’s must-see events, Bainbridge in Bloom! Organized by the Bainbridge Island Arts & Humanities Council, activities take place on both Friday and Saturday, where guests can view five gorgeous island gardens located in five distinct neighborhoods. Complimentary beverages and snacks will be available, and it’s a great way to explore our lovely island. Admission: $60 (Friday); $30 General Admission (Saturday); $20 Bike the Bloom (Saturday)

Friends of the Bainbridge Library Book Sale
10:00 am – 3:00 pm @ Bainbridge Island Library (1270 Madison Ave. N.)
The Friends of the Library is a non-profit organization which helps support the library through regular book sales. Sales feature a wide variety of used books and proceeds benefit the library. Admission: Free

Sunday, July 14

Birds of Bloedel: How the garden habitats support birds
8:00 – 10:00 qm @ The Bloedel Reserve (7571 Dolphin Drive)
Join ornithologist Dan Froehlich on a two-hour early morning walk around the Bloedel Reserve. Identify birds by sight and sound,and take a closer look at the bird-life drama unfolding before your eyes. Dan is working toward a a PhD in Zoology and conducts research and teaches field ornithology classes around the world. Bring your binoculars! Preregistration required: (206) 842-7631. Admission: $15 for members, $22 for non-members
