Ayron-Jones-at-Treehouse-Cafe

Ayron Jones performs at Treehouse Café this Friday night.

Ayron Jones & The Way at Treehouse Café
8:00 pm @ Treehouse Café (4569 Lynwood Center Road NE)
Seattle guitarist and frontman Ayron Jones (Eh-Rahn), has become one of Seattle’s hottest up-and-comers with his brand of Seattle Rock. Jones has taken a hybrid style of guitar playing pioneered by Jimi Hendrix, in which the chord and solo are played at the same time, and infused the raw energy of punk with the inner-city attitude of Hip-Hop. The result is a soulful reincarnation of that iconic Seattle sound. Think, Stevie Ray Vaughan meets Nirvana. Admission: Inquire

Help us welcome former Bainbridge Islander EC Murray when she talks about her book A Long Way From Paris. In this searing, authentic memoir, Murray is hired to herd goats on a remote mountain farm in the South of France where she carves out a life for herself without heat, running water, or even a good grasp of French. Far from her younger life as a New England preppie and Oregon hippie, the challenges of farm work daunt her. She befriends an Australian shepherd, reflects on her spirituality, and muses on the man she left behind. Admission: Free
