One of the most popular Kung Fu films ever made, and perhaps the peak of the famed Bruce Lee’s career, Enter the Dragon achieved success by presenting a series of superbly staged fighting sequences with a minimum of distractions. The story finds Lee as a martial-arts expert determined to help capture the narcotics dealer whose gang was responsible for his sister’s death. Admission: Free
Thursday, June 11
Language Arts, with author Stephanie Kallos
7:30 pm – 8:30 pm @ Eagle Harbor Book Co. (157 Winslow Way East)
The new novel from the best-selling Kallos spins the stories of a dedicated teacher, his enigmatic son, and a wartime survivor. Charles Marlow teaches his high school English students that language will expand their worlds. But linguistic precision cannot help him connect with his autistic son. He’s at the end of a road he’s traveled on autopilot for years when a series of events forces him to think back on the lifetime of decisions and indecisions that have brought him to this point. Sometimes the most powerful words are the ones you’re still searching for. Admission: Free
