Get ready to celebrate Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with KiDiMu and BIMA. On Mondays in October, join KiDiMu instructor for special art projects, inspired by the popular Hispanic holiday. Messy experimentation and sensory exploration are not only allowed but also encouraged. Drop by anytime between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Admission: Free with membership

7:00 – 9:00 pm @ Bainbridge Island Museum of Art (550 Winslow Way East)
Charlie Chaplin’s City Lights (1930), is widely considered one of his greatest films and marks the transition from silent to sound. After each screening, audience members are invited to participate in an open exchange of ideas through moderated discussions which serve to anchor the film in the art and craft of our region and our time. Admission: $10 adults; students free with pre-registration

Travelogue: Moroccan Memories – People, Places and Events

The Pumpkin Walk is a fun, festive, family-oriented event hosted by Bainbridge Gardens for two nights every October. The proceeds of this popular, non-scary event benefit the Bainbridge Island Boys and Girls Club. Hundreds of people of all ages come to walk along Bainbridge Gardens’ historic Nature Trail, glowing with a grand display of nearly 300 lighted, carved pumpkins. For many families, the Pumpkin Walk has become a Halloween tradition. Admission: Free

Saturday, October 18

Join Heyday Farm for an open house. You’ll celebrate the wonderful apples in the neighborhood and serve cider pressed from our their fashioned apple press. If you have your own apples to bring and a jug, they’ll press them for you and give you juice to take home. No apples that have fallen on the ground, please (although we do take those for our pigs). Admission: Free with no registration required
