Get a jump start on reading at this early literacy storytime geared just for toddlers (ages 0-6). Lots of full body movement, songs, stories and rhymes designed to build letter knowledge, vocabulary and narrative skills. Admission: Free

Waterfront Book Group reads One Amazing Thing by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni

Light supper and a drink included. This class is participatory. Instructor Chef Kerrie Sanson will help you learn the basics of braising and making rich seasonal stews at home in the old world tradition. This class will demonstrate how to elevate more economical cuts of meat to the category of sublime. Seasonal farm produce and meats will be featured. This is the famous B.Y.O.P (Bring Your Own Pumpkin) event you’ve been hearing about! Get ready to mix up creepy concoctions with IslandWood’s Mad Scientists and have your palm read by their fortune tellers. Bring those pumpkins into our beautiful Dining Hall and work with our chefs and artists to carve or paint your sensational squash. Step back in time on their History Mystery Trail and meet characters from the turn of the century to learn some local history from days-gone-by. Costumes encouraged – get in the spirit!
